Aircraft cooling systems
One of Combitherm’s special subject amongst others is the manufacturing of self-sufficient air conditioning (PCA unit) of parked aircrafts with mobile or stationary cooling units. The modular concept and the container-based design provide a large variety of customised solutions. The systems are whether equipped with compressor-driven direct expansion cooling or water/glycol heat exchangers. Hybrid systems with combined DX/water cooling can also be built. A revolutionary sub-freezing concept is providing air inlet temperatures down to -20 °C to the aircraft with an automatic de-icing program.
This design allows the cooling of all aircraft types up to the A380 at every climate zone.
Mobile Aircraft Air Conditioning Systems from 45 to 150 tons Providing pre-conditioned air for all kind of aircrafts up to the new A380. The modular approach with many options allows us to adapt the units to the special requirements of our customers. Executions for temperatures -35°C up to +55°C can be supplied as well as facility for aggressive air and features like sound attenuation and web-based machine monitoring. For all-season operation a heater coil is integrated additional to the cooling devices. Power can be generated by means of an integrated genset or from the plant’s grid. Military version available on request.
Stationary Aircraft Air Conditioning Systems from 45 to 250 tons Container-based aircraft cooling systems for hangar solutions or airfield applications. Features same as mobile systems. The stationary units can be installed inside or outside the hangar, close to the passenger bridge or on the airfield.
